Comparison review
Galaxy A8 Star is a bit better than Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G, getting an 82.1 score against 80.8. Even though Galaxy A8 Star is extremely older and a bit heavier than Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G, it's construction is still somewhat thinner. Both devices in our current comparison include Android OS, but the Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G has Android 11 version, providing a couple additional features and a performance increase.
The Galaxy A8 Star has just a little better performance than Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a higher amount of RAM. Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G counts with a little bit better screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a quite bigger display, a bit better screen density and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px.
Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G counts with just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low light photography, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G also counts with a back-facing camera with much more MP and a lot bigger back camera sensor providing a way better image quality.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a much greater storage for applications and games than Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has an external SD slot that supports up to 400 GB. The Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G counts with longer battery duration than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
