The Samsung Galaxy M31 is slightly better than Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G, with a global score of 86.5 against 80.8. Both of these phones have the same Android 11 operating system, so you shouldn't notice any difference in that aspect. The Samsung Galaxy M31 is a a little heavier cellphone than Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G, but they are equally thin.
