Comparison review
Xperia 5 is much better than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, with an 81 score against 71.7. Even though the Xperia 5 is just a little bit heavier than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, it's just a little bit thinner and much newer. Xperia 5 has a slightly better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because it has a bigger display, a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a just a little better pixel quantity per inch of display.
The Xperia 5 features a much greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Xperia 5 has a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 5 also has more RAM.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has superior battery duration than Sony Xperia 5, because it has 4100mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh. The Xperia 5 captures much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because although it has a camera with a worse resolution, it also counts with a much better (4K) video resolution and a way bigger camera aperture.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
