Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 has a general score of 81, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi 9T's global score of 78.2. Sony Xperia 5's construction is thinner and lighter than the Xiaomi Redmi 9T, although it was released just 16 months before. The Sony Xperia 5 features a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 also has more RAM memory.
The Xperia 5 counts with a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2520 and a little bit better pixel density. Xperia 5 features a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, and although they both have an external memory card slot that holds up to 512 GB, the Xperia 5 also has more internal storage capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi 9T has a very superior battery life than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 91% bigger battery size. Xiaomi Redmi 9T takes much better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for shooting images and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi 9T also counts with a back facing camera with a way higher 48 mega pixels resolution and a much larger back-facing camera sensor which offers a lot better image and video quality.
