Comparison review
The Huawei P20 has a general score of 78.1, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro's 75.7 score. These devices include Android OS (operating system), but Huawei P20 has 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has Android 12, providing a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks. Huawei P20's design is somewhat lighter and just a little bit thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, although it was released 5 years before.
The Huawei P20 has a much better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, although it has 2 GB less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has a little sharper display than Huawei P20, because although it has a little worse pixel density, it also counts with a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a larger screen.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro captures much better photographs and videos than Huawei P20, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for shooting photographs and video in low light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro also counts with a way more megapixels back-facing camera and a lot larger sensor which provides a much higher photo and video quality.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro and Huawei P20 feature quite similar storage capacity for games and applications, they have the same internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro features a way better battery life than Huawei P20, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3400mAh.
