Comparison review
Google Nexus 5 is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, with a 76 score against 74.1. Both phones in our current comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but the Google Nexus 5 has an older 4.4.3 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has Android 7.0 Nougat. Google Nexus 5 is a notably older and just a bit thicker phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, but Google managed to make it noticeably lighter anyway.
The Google Nexus 5 features just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has a lower number of cores (but faster) and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra GPU. Google Nexus 5 has a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Google Nexus 5 also counts with a just a bit greater pixels amount per display inch.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Google Nexus 5, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 also has a back facing camera with a much better 13 megapixels resolution and a larger aperture.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has a way bigger memory to install games and applications than Google Nexus 5, because it has 64 GB internal memory and a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 128 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 counts with a way better battery performance than Google Nexus 5, because it has 4100mAh of battery capacity instead of 2300mAh.
Although Google Nexus 5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Google Nexus 5, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, resigning a couple specifications.
