Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 has a score of 81, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4's 74.1 overall score. Sony Xperia 5 is a much newer phone, and it is also just a little bit lighter and a little bit thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. Xperia 5 features a display that's very similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 4's display, although the Xperia 5 also has a little bit higher 1080 x 2520 resolution, a little bit bigger display and a just a bit higher pixels number per inch in the display.
The Sony Xperia 5 has a bit faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a larger amount of RAM. The Xperia 5 features a very superior memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 512 GB and 64 GB more internal storage.
Sony Xperia 5 has a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has a camera with a lower 12 megapixels resolution, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture and a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 counts with superior battery duration than Sony Xperia 5, because it has 4100mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh.
Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia 5, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, resigning some specs and features.
