Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 has an overall score of 78.3, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4's 74.1 general score. The Xperia XZ1 is a somewhat thinner and just a bit lighter cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, even though both of them were released only 8 months apart. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a little sharper screen than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a just a bit worse amount of pixels per display inch, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 1920, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 also counts with a bit bigger screen.
Xperia XZ1 counts with a much better memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage, the Xperia XZ1 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Sony Xperia XZ1 features just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. They have 4 GB of RAM memory and 8 CPU cores.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have the same aperture, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has a back-facing camera with a way better 19 mega pixels resolution and a much better (4K) video quality. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has a much better battery life than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has a 52 percent more battery size.
Although Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia XZ1, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, letting go some specifications.
