Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 5s has an overall score of 76.4, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4's overall score of 74.1. Even when the Xiaomi Mi 5s and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 were only released 4 months apart, the Xiaomi Mi 5s is somewhat lighter and just a little thinner. These devices include Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Mi 5s has an older 6.0 Marshmallow version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has Android 7.0 Nougat version.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have a 4 GB RAM, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 also has a higher number of cores. The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 1920 resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 5s also counts with a little bit greater quantity of pixels per inch in the screen and more brightness.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s features a slightly bigger memory to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Xiaomi Mi 5s takes clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has a lesser megapixels resolution back-facing camera, and they both have a same size aperture, the Xiaomi Mi 5s also counts with a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has superior battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has a 4100mAh battery size against 3200mAh.
Although Xiaomi Mi 5s is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi 5s, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, resigning a couple features and specs.
