Motorola Edge 50 has a global score of 81.2, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro's 75.8 general score. Motorola Edge 50's design is newer, a little bit lighter and just a little thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Motorola Edge 50 has the previous 14 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo.
Motorola Edge 50 has a much better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a better resolution of 1220 x 2712, a bit larger display and a little bit more pixels per screen inch. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a much powerful processing unit than Motorola Edge 50, although it has 2 GB less RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores.
Motorola Edge 50 shoots way better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a lot higher (4K) video resolution, a bigger aperture and a camera with a way higher resolution. The Motorola Edge 50 has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
The Motorola Edge 50 counts with longer battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
