Comparison review
Galaxy M31 has a general score of 86.5, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's 74.4 general score. The Galaxy M31 body is notably newer, but just a bit heavier and a little bit thicker than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. Both of these devices include Android OS, but Galaxy M31 has the older 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.
The Galaxy M31 has a bit faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Galaxy M31 also has a larger amount of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy M31 counts with a little sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has a bit bigger screen, a little higher 1080 x 2340px resolution and a quite greater quantity of pixels in each inch of display.
Galaxy M31 captures much better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has a lot more megapixels back camera, a way higher 3840x2160 video quality and a larger aperture. The Samsung Galaxy M31 has more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
