Comparison review
The Galaxy M31s has an overall score of 88, which is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's global score of 74.4. Both devices in this review include Android OS, but the Galaxy M31s has the older 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat. Although Galaxy M31s is much newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, it's thicker and somewhat heavier.
The Galaxy M31s counts with a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has a little bit higher 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, a bit larger display and a little more pixels per inch in the screen. Samsung Galaxy M31s has a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy M31s also has a greater amount of RAM.
Galaxy M31s has a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has a much better (4K) video resolution, a bigger aperture and a camera with way more mega-pixels. The Galaxy M31s counts with a much bigger memory to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB and 64 GB more internal memory.
Galaxy M31s features a much better battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity.
