Galaxy A8 Star has a score of 82.1, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro's 77.2 overall score. These phones work with Android OS, but Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has Android 8.1 Oreo, so it counts with lots of additional features and a performance increase. Although the Galaxy A8 Star and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro were only released 3 months apart, the Galaxy A8 Star body is just a bit heavier but just a little thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features a little bit better looking display than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a same size screen, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro also has a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2280 and a just a little better pixel amount per inch of screen. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with just a bit bigger storage to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has a SD extension slot that admits up to 400 GB.
The Galaxy A8 Star has a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro. They have a Octa-Core CPU and a 6 GB RAM memory. Galaxy A8 Star counts with just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor providing a lower image quality, it also counts with a camera in the back with lot more mega pixels, a bigger aperture for better low light images and a way better 3840x2160 video definition.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features a bit better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
