Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7's 80.3 score. Although Galaxy A8 Star and Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 were released only 5 months apart, Galaxy A8 Star's design is a little bit thinner but a little heavier. The Galaxy A8 Star features a bit faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, and although they both have 8 cores, the Galaxy A8 Star also has 2 GB more RAM.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 features a bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a same size screen, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 also has a little bit more pixels per inch of screen and a slightly higher 1080 x 2340px resolution.
