Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, having a general score of 77.1 against 74.6. Although it's the best phone we compare here, Asus ROG Phone is an older, just a little thicker and just a bit heavier phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. The Asus ROG Phone counts with a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ROG Phone also has 5 GB more RAM memory.
The Asus ROG Phone counts with a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2160px, a just a little inferior pixels amount in each screen inch and a little smaller display. Asus ROG Phone features a much bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory capacity.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Asus ROG Phone count with very similar batteries. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with a lot better camera than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has slower video frame rate, and they both have the same aperture and the same video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also counts with a much larger back-facing camera sensor capturing way better quality photographs and videos.
Although Asus ROG Phone is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
