Comparison review
Asus ROG Phone 7 is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, with a score of 81.2 against 74.6. Even though Asus ROG Phone 7 is incredibly newer than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, it's noticeably heavier and somewhat thicker. Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but the Asus ROG Phone 7 has 13 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, so it gives some nice extra features and performance tweaks.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a much powerful processing unit than Asus ROG Phone 7, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a bit sharper screen than Asus ROG Phone 7, although it has a little bit smaller display, a way worse 1080 x 2340 resolution and a little bit inferior count of pixels per screen inch.
Asus ROG Phone 7 counts with much more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage. Asus ROG Phone 7 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a much better video quality, a lot bigger camera sensor providing a way higher image quality and a back camera with a higher 50 mega-pixels resolution.
The Asus ROG Phone 7 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 50% bigger battery capacity.
