Comparison review
Google Pixel 3a has an overall score of 78.8, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's global score of 74.6. Both phones we compare here come with Android operating system, but Google Pixel 3a has the newer 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10, offering a couple nice extra features and performance enhancements. The Google Pixel 3a is a just a little bit thinner and notably lighter cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, even when both of them were released with only a few months difference.
The Google Pixel 3a's processor is just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 one, and although the Google Pixel 3a has more RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores. The Google Pixel 3a has a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a little lower resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per display inch.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 takes better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, a same size aperture and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a much larger back camera sensor which provides a lot better image and video quality and a camera with a much higher 48 MP resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with slightly more memory to install applications and games than Google Pixel 3a, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features greater battery performance than Google Pixel 3a, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Even being the best phone in this comparison, Google Pixel 3a is also by far the cheapest one, making this phone a no doubt choice.
