Comparison review
Huawei Mate 10 is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, getting a score of 78.9 against 74.6. Both of these phones use the same Android 10 OS (operating system). The Huawei Mate 10 is an older device than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but Huawei could make it just a little thinner and a little lighter. Huawei Mate 10 has just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate 10 also has a greater amount of RAM.
The Huawei Mate 10 has a sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit better count of pixels per inch in the screen and a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 takes much better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for capturing images and/or video in low light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also counts with a much better 48 megapixels resolution back-facing camera and a way larger sensor shooting much better quality photos.
Huawei Mate 10 counts with a much bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 256 GB and 64 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate 10's battery life is very similar to the battery lifetime in Xiaomi Redmi Note 8.
The Huawei Mate 10 costs a little more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
