Comparison review
Huawei Mate 20 is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, with a 79.5 score against 74.6. Both devices in our current comparison work with Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 20 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, giving you some additional features and enhanced performance. Huawei Mate 20's design has the same thickness than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but it is a bit lighter.
The Huawei Mate 20 has a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a little bit lower pixel quantity in each inch in the display and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2244px, it also counts with a little bit bigger display. Huawei Mate 20 counts with a lot bigger memory to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
Huawei Mate 20 counts with just a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a larger amount of RAM. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a better camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have a same size aperture, the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a bigger sensor and a camera in the back with way more megapixels.
Huawei Mate 20 has a battery duration that's very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 one.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 20, else you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, giving up a couple specs and features.
