Huawei Mate 20 Pro is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, having an 82.9 score against 74.6. Huawei Mate 20 Pro is an older and just a little thicker phone than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but Huawei managed to make it a bit lighter anyway. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has just a bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a higher count of pixels per inch in the screen, a better 1440 x 3120 pixels resolution and a little bit larger screen.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro counts with a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM. Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory capacity.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro features just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a camera in the back with a lower 40 MP resolution and a lower video quality, and they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a bigger back camera sensor taking better quality videos and pictures.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a bit longer battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 20 Pro, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, giving up a couple specs and features.
