Comparison review
Huawei Mate 8 is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, getting a 77.4 score against 74.6. The Huawei Mate 8 is an extremely older phone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but Huawei was able to make it a bit lighter and a little thinner. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with just a bit better screen than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen, a quite bigger display and a slightly higher 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution.
The Huawei Mate 8 features a much bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB, the Huawei Mate 8 also has more internal memory capacity. The Huawei Mate 8 features a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a larger amount of RAM.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 shoots a lot better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a much better resolution back camera, a way higher (4K) video resolution and a bigger camera aperture to capture better photography in low light environments. Huawei Mate 8 has a battery performance that's just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 one.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate 8, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, giving up a couple features and specifications.
