Comparison review

Huawei Mate X2 is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, with a score of 89.1 against 74.6. The Huawei Mate X2 design is newer and a little thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's, but it's also heavier. These devices use the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so both should provide the user the same OS features.

The Huawei Mate X2 features a little faster processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate X2 also has more RAM. The Huawei Mate X2 features a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a bigger display, a bit more pixels per inch in the display and a lot higher 2200 x 2480 resolution.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back camera with lesser MP, it also counts with a bigger aperture to take better images in poorly lited situations. The Huawei Mate X2 has a much better memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 224 GB more internal storage.

Huawei Mate X2 counts with just a little bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.

Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate X2, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, resigning a couple specs and features.
