Comparison review
Huawei P30 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, getting a score of 81.7 against 74.6. Both phones in our current comparison come with the same Android 10 OS (operating system). The Huawei P30 construction is a little bit thinner and lighter than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, although both were only released with a couple months difference.
The Huawei P30 has just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei P30 also has more RAM. Huawei P30 features a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, the Huawei P30 also counts with a bit better pixels count in each display inch.
The Huawei P30 takes a bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a back camera with a lower 40 mega pixels resolution, and they both have a same size aperture, the Huawei P30 also counts with a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The Huawei P30 has a very superior memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has just a little better battery life than Huawei P30, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity against 3650mAh.
Although Huawei P30 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Huawei P30, else you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, giving up some features and specs.
