Comparison review
The Huawei P30 Lite has a score of 77, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's global score of 74.6. Both phones in our current comparison use Android OS (operating system), but Huawei P30 Lite has newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version. Huawei P30 Lite is a thinner and somewhat lighter device than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, although they were released only a few months apart.
Huawei P30 Lite and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 feature very similar displays, because although the Huawei P30 Lite has a quite smaller display and a little lower resolution of 1080 x 2312 pixels, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per screen inch. The Huawei P30 Lite features a lot bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 512 GB and 96 GB more internal storage.
The Huawei P30 Lite counts with just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei P30 Lite also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 shoots a lot better photographs and videos than Huawei P30 Lite, and although they both have a same size aperture and a same size back-facing camera sensor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a way more mega pixels back-facing camera and a much higher (4K) video definition.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features longer battery life than Huawei P30 Lite, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei P30 Lite is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei P30 Lite, otherwise you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, letting go some features and specifications.
