Comparison review
The Huawei P40 lite 5G is better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, having an 83.4 score against 74.6. Even though the Huawei P40 lite 5G and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 were only released with a few months difference, the Huawei P40 lite 5G design is just a bit lighter but a bit thicker. Both devices in this review use the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so they should give you all the same OS features.
Huawei P40 lite 5G counts with a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei P40 lite 5G also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Huawei P40 lite 5G has a display that's just as good as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's display, because although the Huawei P40 lite 5G has a bit inferior pixel quantity in each inch in the screen, it also counts with a quite bigger screen and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2400px.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with a slightly better camera than Huawei P40 lite 5G, although it has a lower video quality and a much worse resolution camera, they both have a same size camera aperture. The Huawei P40 lite 5G features much more storage to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
Huawei P40 lite 5G has a battery duration that's just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 one.
