Comparison review
LG Q70 is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, getting a 77.9 score against 74.6. Both of these devices include the same Android 10 OS. The LG Q70 design is a little bit thinner but a little heavier than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and both of them were only released with a few months difference. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a slightly better display than LG Q70, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit better pixels count per screen inch and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2340.
The LG Q70's CPU is just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 one, and although the LG Q70 has 1 GB more RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 shoots a little bit better videos and photos than LG Q70, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the same video frame rates and a same size aperture, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a lot higher 48 megapixels resolution camera and a lot bigger sensor providing a way better image quality.
The LG Q70 features a superior storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and more internal storage capacity. LG Q70's battery performance is very similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's battery performance.
Although LG Q70 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your money.
