Comparison review
LG Velvet has an overall score of 87.1, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's global score of 74.6. Even when LG Velvet and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 were released with only a few months difference, LG Velvet is a little bit lighter and a little thinner. LG Velvet has a display that's just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 one, because although the LG Velvet has a just a little lower screen density, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2460 and a quite bigger display.
The LG Velvet features a little better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the LG Velvet also has 3 GB more RAM memory. LG Velvet counts with much more memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has an external memory card slot that supports up to 1,95 TB and 96 GB more internal memory capacity.
The LG Velvet's camera is very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 one, both have a 48 mega-pixels camera in the back, the same video resolution, a 0.5 inches camera sensor, the same camera aperture and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate. LG Velvet counts with just a little bit longer battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has an 8% more battery capacity.
LG Velvet is more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
