Comparison review
Moto G 5G has an overall score of 81.5, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's 74.6 global score. Both phones in this review work with the same Android 10 OS (operating system). Moto G 5G's construction is newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's, but it is heavier and somewhat thicker.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with a bit more vivid display than Moto G 5G, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per screen inch. Moto G 5G features much more memory capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 64 GB internal storage and an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB.
Moto G 5G counts with a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Moto G 5G also has a higher amount of RAM memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 takes clearer pictures and videos than Motorola Moto G 5G, although it has a smaller aperture, they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the same 30 fps video frame rates and a camera with a 48 MP.
The Motorola Moto G 5G features improved battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 25 percent larger battery capacity.
