Comparison review
Nokia 9 PureView is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, with a 76.4 score against 74.6. Nokia 9 PureView's body is just a little thinner and a little lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, even when both of them were released with only 8 months difference. The Nokia 9 PureView features a little faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Nokia 9 PureView also has more RAM memory.
The Nokia 9 PureView counts with a slightly better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2880 resolution and a greater screen density. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a much better camera than Nokia 9 PureView, and although they both have a same size aperture, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a back-facing camera with much more MP and a lot bigger back camera sensor which provides a much higher photo and video quality.
Nokia 9 PureView has a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with longer battery duration than Nokia 9 PureView, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Nokia 9 PureView is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Nokia 9 PureView, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, resigning some specs and features.
