The OnePlus 8 UW has a general score of 75.9, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's global score of 74.6. These devices work with the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any differences in that aspect. Even though the OnePlus 8 UW and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 were released with only a couple of months difference, the OnePlus 8 UW is just a bit thinner and just a bit lighter.
OnePlus 8 UW counts with a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the OnePlus 8 UW also has 5 GB more RAM memory. OnePlus 8 UW features a brighter screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a just a little lower pixels density, it also counts with a quite better 1080 x 2400 resolution and a little bit larger screen.
OnePlus 8 UW has a very superior storage to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. OnePlus 8 UW counts with just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a 0.5 inches sensor, a F1.8 aperture, the same video definition and a back camera with a 48 mega-pixels, the OnePlus 8 UW also has better video frame rate.
The OnePlus 8 UW features just a little bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Although OnePlus 8 UW is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the OnePlus 8 UW, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, giving up some specs and features.
