Comparison review
The OnePlus 9 has a score of 76, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's global score of 74.6. Even though the OnePlus 9 is newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, it is just a little heavier and just a little bit thicker. Both of these phones include Android OS, but the OnePlus 9 has a more recent 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version.
The OnePlus 9 counts with a little sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a little lower screen density, it also counts with a bit bigger display and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The OnePlus 9 has a way bigger memory for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory.
OnePlus 9 features just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the OnePlus 9 also has more RAM. OnePlus 9 features a little longer battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
OnePlus 9 captures much better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a same resolution back-facing camera and a F1.8 aperture, the OnePlus 9 also has a much better video resolution and a lot larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Although OnePlus 9 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your savings.
