Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A31 has a score of 81.3, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's 74.6 score. Although the Samsung Galaxy A31 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 were released only a couple months apart, the Samsung Galaxy A31 construction is a little thicker but also just a little lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. Both of these phones include the same Android 10 OS, so both of them should provide you the same OS features.
The Galaxy A31 features a CPU that is just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 one, and although the Galaxy A31 has a greater amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. The Galaxy A31 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 both feature similar screens, although the Galaxy A31 also has a slightly better 1080 x 2400 resolution, a quite bigger display and a just a little more pixels per display inch.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 takes a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy A31, and although they both have the same resolution back camera and the same back camera sensor size, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a larger diafragm aperture to take better captures in low light situations and a much higher 3840x2160 video quality.
The Galaxy A31 has a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 512 GB and 32 GB more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy A31 counts with greater battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
