Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A40 is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, getting a 79.6 score against 74.6. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy A40 has 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version. Although Samsung Galaxy A40 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 were released only 6 months apart, Samsung Galaxy A40 is lighter and just a little thinner.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a bit better CPU than Samsung Galaxy A40, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 cpu cores. Galaxy A40 features a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same 1080 x 2340 resolution, the Galaxy A40 also counts with a bit better pixel density.
The Galaxy A40 counts with much more storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB and more internal memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a much better camera than Galaxy A40, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low light images and videos, it also counts with a back-facing camera with a lot higher resolution, a much higher (4K) video quality and a way larger back camera sensor providing a lot better image quality.
