Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A70 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, with a global score of 76.9 against 74.6. Both phones in our current comparison have the same Android 10 OS (Operating System), so both should offer very similar OS features. Although the Samsung Galaxy A70 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 were only released 6 months apart, the Samsung Galaxy A70 is a bit lighter and a bit thinner.
Samsung Galaxy A70 features a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy A70 also has more RAM memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A70, because although it has a bit lower 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of screen.
The Galaxy A70 counts with much more storage capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy A70 has just a bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 shoots way better photographs and videos than Galaxy A70, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also counts with a much larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Although Samsung Galaxy A70 is a better device, it costs more money than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
