Comparison review
Galaxy A71 is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, with a score of 87.5 against 74.6. The Galaxy A71 construction is just a little bit lighter and a little bit thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, even though both of them were only released with a couple of months difference. Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy A71 has 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, so it provides the user some extra features.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy A71, because although it has a little worse 1080 x 2340 resolution and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit greater screen density. The Samsung Galaxy A71 counts with a way bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 96 GB more internal memory and a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
The Galaxy A71 has a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Galaxy A71 also has more RAM. Galaxy A71 counts with a little better battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
The Galaxy A71 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 video quality and a same size aperture, the Galaxy A71 also has a bigger back-facing camera sensor taking higher quality videos and photographs and a lot more MP back facing camera.
The Galaxy A71 is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a better phone for that extra money.
