Comparison review
The Galaxy Fold is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, having a 97.6 score against 74.6. Although the Galaxy Fold and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 were released only 1 months apart, the Galaxy Fold construction is way heavier but somewhat thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. Both phones in this comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Fold has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10, counting with some extra features.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold has a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Fold also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has just a bit better display than Galaxy Fold, because although it has a little bit worse 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit greater pixel count per display inch.
Samsung Galaxy Fold counts with a very superior memory for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory. Galaxy Fold counts with a little longer battery life than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 10% greater battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 takes better photographs and videos than Galaxy Fold, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light images and slower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also counts with a back camera with a way better resolution and a much larger back-facing camera sensor capturing lot better quality videos and photographs.
Although Galaxy Fold is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Fold, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, letting go some features and specifications.
