Comparison review
Galaxy Note 3 has an overall score of 81.2, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's 74.6 global score. These devices work with Android OS, but the Galaxy Note 3 has the older 5.0 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10. The Galaxy Note 3 body has the same thickness than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but it is somewhat lighter.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a little more vivid screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, although it has a bit worse amount of pixels per display inch, a quite smaller screen and a little bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that holds 64 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
Galaxy Note 3 has a little bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has an inferior number of cores , and they both have a 3 GB RAM memory, the Galaxy Note 3 also counts with a graphics co-processor. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with greater battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because it has a 25 percent bigger battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 shoots much better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a bigger aperture to capture better photos and videos in low light environments, a back facing camera with a much higher resolution and a lot bigger back camera sensor which offers a much higher image and video quality.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 costs more money than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
