Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, with a 79.3 score against 74.6. Samsung Galaxy Note 5's body is somewhat lighter and a little thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, even though it was released 4 years before. Both phones we compare here work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has older 5.1 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a bit better CPU than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with more cpu cores (although they are slower). Although Galaxy Note 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Note 5, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, giving up a couple features and specifications.
