Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a general score of 83, which is much better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's score of 74.6. Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 is better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, we must tell that it's also a much older, a bit thicker and a little bit heavier phone.
The Galaxy Note8 counts with a slightly better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Galaxy Note8 also has a better resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a higher pixel density. Galaxy Note8 features a much bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has 32 GB more internal storage and a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note8 also has 3 GB more RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also counts with a much bigger camera sensor which gives a much higher image and video quality and a camera in the back with lot more MP.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has better battery lifetime than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 21 percent bigger battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note8, otherwise you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, giving up a couple features and specifications.
