Comparison review
Galaxy S5 is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, getting a score of 80.8 against 74.6. Galaxy S5 is an a lot older cellphone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but Samsung managed to make it much lighter and a little bit thinner. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy S5 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version.
Samsung Galaxy S5 features a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has lesser CPU cores , and they both have a 3 GB RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy S5 has a much better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a quite smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a higher amount of pixels per inch of screen.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 captures much better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a bigger aperture, a much bigger camera sensor shooting lot better quality photographs and videos and a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back.
Samsung Galaxy S5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 count with incredibly similar storage capacity for games and applications, both of them have a SD memory slot that admits up to 128 GB and equal 32 GB internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with a much better battery life than Galaxy S5, because it has a 43% bigger battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
