Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has a global score of 77.8, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's score of 74.6. Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport is a noticeably older and a little bit thicker device than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but Samsung managed to build it somewhat lighter anyway. These phones include Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport has 4.4.2 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, so it counts with lots of additional features and performance tweaks.
Galaxy S5 Sport features just a little better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has less RAM memory and 4 less cpu cores , it also counts with a graphics processing unit. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport counts with a better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a bit smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a quite greater display pixels density.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a larger aperture, a way bigger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a back camera with lot more MP.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy S5 Sport, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 128 GB, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has 32 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a much better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 2800mAh.
Although Galaxy S5 Sport is a better device, it costs more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy S5 Sport, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, letting go a couple features and specifications.
