Comparison review
The Galaxy S6 Edge is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, having a global score of 85.7 against 74.6. The Galaxy S6 Edge is an much older device than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but it is thinner and a lot lighter anyway. These phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S6 Edge has the older 5.0 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version.
Galaxy S6 Edge features a much more vibrant screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better display pixel density and a higher 2560 x 1440 resolution. The Galaxy S6 Edge features a way bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU and 3 GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also has a 64-bit CPU and an extra graphics processing unit. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 shoots greater videos and photos than Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a much more mega pixels back camera, a larger diafragm aperture to take better images and videos in low light environments and a much bigger back camera sensor capturing much higher quality photos.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features a way better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 54% more battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
