Comparison review
The Galaxy S8 Active has a global score of 81.9, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's general score of 74.6. Despite being the best we are comparing, the Galaxy S8 Active is a way older, thicker and just a little heavier phone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. Galaxy S8 Active has a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2960 resolution and a better screen pixel density.
The Galaxy S8 Active counts with a superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has an external memory slot that supports up to 256 GB and 32 GB more internal storage. The Galaxy S8 Active has a little faster processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy S8 Active also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and the Galaxy S8 Active have extremely similar batteries. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 takes much better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low light photos and videos, and they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also counts with a lot bigger sensor and a lot better 48 megapixels resolution camera.
The Galaxy S8 Active costs a bit more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
