Comparison review

Galaxy XCover FieldPro has a score of 80.1, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's 74.6 general score. Although Galaxy XCover FieldPro is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, we must note that it is also a much thicker and heavier phone. These devices use Android OS, but the Galaxy XCover FieldPro has newer 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, providing the user a couple nice extra features and performance optimizations.

Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per display inch and a better 1440 x 2560 resolution. Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a way bigger memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 512 GB and more internal memory.

The Galaxy XCover FieldPro counts with just a little better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy XCover FieldPro also has more RAM memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for capturing images or video in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a way more mega-pixels back-facing camera, a way larger sensor taking much better quality pictures and videos and a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a little longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 13 percent bigger battery size.

Although Galaxy XCover FieldPro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy XCover FieldPro, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, letting go some specs and features.
