Comparison review
Galaxy XCover Pro is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, getting an 81 score against 74.6. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy XCover Pro has a newer 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, offering some nice extra features. Despite being the best we compare here, it must be noted that it is also thicker and heavier.
Galaxy XCover Pro counts with a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy XCover Pro also has 1 GB more RAM. Galaxy XCover Pro has a display that is very similar to Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's screen, both of them have the same exact resolution of 1080 x 2340, a same size screen and a higher pixels quantity per inch of screen.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 takes much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low light photos and video, it also counts with a much bigger sensor, a much more mega pixels back facing camera and a lot better (4K) video quality.
Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro features a lot bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has more internal memory and a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy XCover Pro counts with just a bit better battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 4050mAh battery capacity against 4000mAh.
Although Galaxy XCover Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
