Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZs is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, with a 77.2 score against 74.6. Although the Sony Xperia XZs is incredibly older than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, it's body is lighter and just a little bit thinner. Xperia XZs features a display that is just as good as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's screen, because although the Xperia XZs has a quite smaller display and a quite lower 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, it also counts with a bit greater pixel amount in each inch in the screen.
The Xperia XZs has a slightly better memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal memory, the Xperia XZs also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a bit faster processing unit than Xperia XZs, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with 4 more cpu cores (although they are slower).
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with a way better battery performance than Sony Xperia XZs, because it has a 38 percent greater battery capacity. Xperia XZs counts with a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, although it has a lower (4K) video quality, a back camera with lot less mega pixels, a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for shooting images and video in poorly lited situations and a tinier back-facing camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors.
Although Xperia XZs is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia XZs, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, resigning a couple features and specs.
