Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a score of 79.8, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's 74.6 general score. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is an older phone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but Sony managed to make it just a little lighter and just a little thinner. These phones have Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has the previous 5.1 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10.
Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a lot better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a way better amount of pixels per screen inch. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a slightly bigger storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 200 GB.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a bit more powerful processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has an additional graphics processor. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features just a little better battery life than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 3430mAh.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a little bit better camera than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a lot more mega-pixels camera and a bigger camera sensor.
Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
