Comparison review
TCL 20 Pro 5G is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, with a overall score of 76.1 against 74.6. Both devices we are comparing use Android operating system, but TCL 20 Pro 5G has a more recent 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, giving lots of additional features and improved performance. TCL 20 Pro 5G's design has the same weight than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but it is a bit thicker.
TCL 20 Pro 5G has a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the TCL 20 Pro 5G also has a greater amount of RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 counts with a little more vivid display than TCL 20 Pro 5G, because although it has a bit smaller display and a quite lower 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a quite greater display density.
TCL 20 Pro 5G features a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. Both have the same 30 fps video frame rate, a 0.5 inches sensor, a 48 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back, the same video definition and the same aperture. TCL 20 Pro 5G has a much greater storage capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage capacity.
TCL 20 Pro 5G counts with just a little better battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity against 4000mAh.
