Xiaomi Black Shark has an overall score of 80.4, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8's general score of 74.6. Xiaomi Black Shark's construction has the same weight than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, but it is just a little bit thicker. Both of these phones have Android OS, but the Xiaomi Black Shark has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version, so it offers some extra features.
The Xiaomi Black Shark counts with a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, although it has a quite smaller screen, a little lower pixels density and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2160px. Xiaomi Black Shark counts with a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 captures better videos and photos than Xiaomi Black Shark, and although they both have a same size camera aperture, the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 also has a camera in the back with a way better 48 mega-pixels resolution and a way larger back camera sensor which gives a lot higher photo and video quality.
