Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, getting a score of 82.9 against 74.6. Both devices in this review come with Android operating system, but Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro has 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has Android 10 version. Even being the best in this comparison review, it must be noted that it is also just a bit heavier and just a bit thicker.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro has a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has a little bit lower pixel density, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1080 x 2340px, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro also counts with a little larger screen. Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro features just a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have a back camera with a 48 megapixels, the same back camera sensor size, the same aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro also has faster video frame rate.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro counts with a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro both count with similar batteries.
